Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

Chapter 446 Roderika Ashurei

--

It wasn't rare for security officers to reach 5-Star Grand Solar level in cultivation. After all, they have more means and access to resources that could propel their realm higher than before.

However, their swift ascent through minor realms usually begins after their training. Especially once they begin applying for missions and performing their duties.

Cedric reaching this stage even before his graduation from training was rare and fortunate, but not really unheard of, especially considering his background.

After consolidating his breakthrough, Cedric messaged both Hunyo and Silas about it. As expected, it didn't take long before he received a reply from them, congratulating him for this and telling him that the expert they promised will appear before him soon.

This made Cedric relaxed. At last, he'd finally discover what makes the whole topic about breaking through the cosmic level of life evolution so elusive and secretive.

But as he waited for that unknown and unnamed expert to arrive, Cedric decided to keep himself busy.

He went through the core area of Solaris Prime, the place where he left the nine-layered Heaven Island he got from exchanging with the Tower Master.

This secret realm has greatly benefited after Solaris Prime's transfer to the Outer Circle of the alliance. Since then, it has been improving and growing at an accelerated rate.

Previously, he wanted to build a home for his family here. Treating it like some secret paradise for their use only. In the end, Cedric changed his mind and decided to raise their children on Prime Earth because he didn't want them to be too detached from other humans, lest they think themselves too superior.

Of course, there's no way he'd have forgotten about this. The nine-layered Heaven Island was too valuable to be ignored, especially after it stabilized and fused with Solaris Prime.

Cedric thought of turning this into a paradise for the future Life Evolvers, or Prime Earth. After all, the density and quality of energy within this realm were way too high; it's perfect for their use.

Even though it's called an island, this place was actually bigger than Prime Earth even after its expansion due to its previous evolution. The presence of concept laws here was raw and dense; any progress made here could be said to be twice the results with half the effort.

Of course, turning this entire place into a mere cultivation area would be a little dull. Cedric has other things to add, but for now, this is enough. Time is needed for future development, after all.

After visiting the secret realm, Cedric roamed through his territory to see if there were new developments or mutations elsewhere. After all, it wasn't only Prime Earth that was affected when Solaris Prime was transferred to the Outer Circle.

Humanity has already terraformed and colonized the planets they targeted prior to the transfer of Solaris Prime. The three planets they're working on right now were actually new ones. Two of these planets were previously unmarked by Cedric; he deemed them too chaotic and barren for humanity to develop, but after the transfer, they experienced a mutation that elevated their value.

This surprising development was the reason why Cedric was roaming Solaris Prime from time to time; after all, any further mutations are possible moving forward.

Speaking of terraforming and colonizing, his boys were doing excellent in their chosen careers. Gerald was spearheading their progress at the frozen planet he found since he's pretty much invulnerable from the cold, and Gilderoy was speeding up the terraforming process of barren planets by introducing Prime Earth's nature to them.

The public still doesn't know that they're his children. They probably don't even know that they're siblings, too. Cedric wasn't really concerned all that much since it hasn't brought them any inconveniences. He's just glad that his children are growing up well.

As for Godwyn, who's spending more and more time at the Virtual Universe, Cedric wasn't all too concerned either. He didn't care if Godwyn's still searching for his calling. He has all the time in the world to explore, and even if it turns out that he couldn't find his purpose, Cedric was more than happy to give him one once the time comes.

All in all, everything was going well, and Cedric's heart was at ease.

He felt the presence of this person before he even saw their silhouette. And from the sheer disparity of their strength, Cedric immediately realized that he only sensed this person because they purposefully got his attention.

If they were to truly make a move, Cedric himself didn't know if he'd be able to react to it.

The idea caused him to sweat nervously. But he steeled him by taking a deep breath. He knew that this person didn't have any malice; Cedric was just fidgety because of his status as the only strong man protecting his home.

He disappeared from where he was, traveling on the way to the edge of Solaris Prime to greet the person that got his attention.

It was a female expert from what he could tell at a glance, probably from the Celestial Race, judging by the two additional sets of arms and the mark of the moon on her forehead.

She's around the same height as him, but facing her made him feel so tiny. She's wearing a long silver dress that flowed like mercury. The lower half of her face was covered by a purple gauze, revealing only a pair of clear obsidian eyes that's inspecting him from head to toe.

"Greetings, Your Excellency," Cedric politely said with a curt bow. "I am Dawnbringer, Governor of Solaris Prime. Thank you for gracing me with your presence."

"Well met, Governor." The lady's voice sounded like the faintest whisper, sending shivers to his spine. "My name is Roderika Ashurei, and I will be your mentor for all things about the cosmic level of life evolution."

Cedric nodded and opened the border to let her pass through. The name matched what he was expecting, and he didn't dare to think that anybody will impersonate a person of her status, so he didn't doubt her identity.

Roderika walked in, traversing the vacuum of space as if she's walking on flat ground. Cedric dutifully walked beside her, subtly leading her to the nine-layered Heaven Island, the place he chose for her to stay for the duration of his lessons.

"I'm sure you find this strange." She said out of nowhere, "Why was there a need for a mentor to learn more about the cosmic level of life evolution? Why can't it be made public? What's with all the secrecy?"

Cedric didn't say anything because she was right. Anybody who learned of this will think the same, so it's not really surprising.

"It isn't really a big deal." Roderika sighed. "It could be summarized to 'knowing more was useless'. After all, it is very challenging to reach that level in life evolution, so even if many knew how, so what?"

"The chances of a Cosmic level Life Evolver potentially appearing in any race wouldn't be higher than 10%. The only exception to this was the Wise Dragon Clan. But what they have is only potential. It's still difficult to say if they could actualize this potential of theirs."

"Aside from them, there are no other exceptions so far. In fact, those who aren't part of 'The Six' have lower chances of having a cosmic-level expert appear before them."

"All of this was simply due to the difference between the life origin of the species. Do you know what a life origin is?"

"Essence, Energy, and Soul. Also known as the Body, Mind, and Spirit. The Holy Trinity," Cedric replied.

Roderika glanced at him and nodded appreciatively.

"Not bad. Yes, that's correct. What makes 'The Six' so special was because they are creatures born shortly after the Big Bang that resulted in the creation of the Primeval Scarlet Dust Realm."

"The primeval air of creation was embedded in our very being, and its concentration was higher compared to other races that were born after us."

"When the other races aside from us appeared, our progenitors were already competing for hegemony of this realm. This meant that it must's been hundreds of thousands of years have passed before they started appearing. This was the disparity that cannot be easily made up."

"You can say that it's some kind of racial advantage."

"Of course, this isn't to say that others have no hope." Roderika clarified, "In fact, there are a couple of Cosmic Level experts from other races too. It's just that their journey to reach that stage was far more difficult than us, and obviously, their heritage and knowledge about it are lacking."

"It's for this reason that we pass this knowledge by word of mouth instead of making it accessible to the public."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"It will make people jealous or envious, thinking that this was unfair. The extremists might even start plotting against you, bringing about chaos to the entire realm," Cedric concluded.

"Exactly." Roderika looked at him in appreciation once more. "You're witty, that's good. Talking to you is easy; I'm impressed."

"You jest, Your Excellency." Cedric laughed mirthlessly.
