Yeah, true, this has enough depth to be an entirely another world, and that's has its own merits. Even if it's not such a hit at launch, just through player progression alone it will grow in popularity. This is one of those ‘has everything we want in a full dive MMO’ types, the completely autonomous NPC’s absolute player freedom etc.

You make a good point. Still, it will be interesting to see the political landscape of the guilds after this. Irons lot will get some backlash, Astaria if she decides to make a guild will have a massive boost to popularity while also angering a number of guild leaders, and that's not even getting into the comments Astaria made. If the NPCs are impacted by public opinion as well, that will heavily impact how guilds deal with things. Especially leaning more towards cloak-and-dagger tactics.

Yeah, you make some good points. I have met a few guild leader types in the past trying to organise raids, and yeah… my opinion is not great. At least for those in charge of the larger ones, they all have some stick up their arse, some self-importance complex, with arrogance and ego in spades.
