Back For My Daughter

Chapter 151 - Do You Think He Would?

The atmosphere in the room turned tense when Ye Qian wanted to talk to his father.

Seeing that the things between the father and son didn't look good due to her husband behaviour Grandma Yan frowned.

"Hey Old Ye are you going to be still angry with him now that he has returned back, there must be some reason for his disappearance, he would never leave us all knowing that the girl Meng was about to give birth to Little Qiqi in a few weeks."

Grandma Yan said in a soft voice although she didn't like Grandpa Xiao's behaviour.

Ye Qian's face looked dejected hearing his mother was trying to defend him, but that was true if it was not for the accident he had met with that day he might never think of leaving Yuan Meng and his parents.

It was all against him to decide if he could stay or not as he was never given a chance to.

Seeing Ye Qian's dejected look, Grandma Yan's heart ached, she had never seen him so sad for all these years but the first time she saw him like this it made her heart bleed.

She was his mother after all and knew he would never want to leave his family without any reason or at least he must have been forced due to the various circumstances to stay away from them..

She stood up from the couch and walked to Grandpa Xiao.

Grandpa Xiao was still not ready to talk to Ye Qian after she tried to convince him.

So she had no other way left.

Grandpa Xiao was first stunned but still didn't want to let go, according to him, what else could be more important to Ye Qian than his wife who was 8 months pregnant and was going to give birth to his child. There was nothing more important than that according to him.

"Yan'er, you don't have to say anything more to defend him more, let me know what is more important some work or his child?"

This was the first time in several years that Grandpa Xiao talked to her in such a stern voice and his eyes were a lot more serious now.

Knowing that there was no chance if she were to talk to him, Grandma Yan's voice turned low and she sat beside him while taking his hand in hers and said in a low voice.

"Old Xiao, I know why you are angry, but do you really think he would do such a thing."

"Did we brought him up this bad, that you can't even believe him now?"

Grandma Yan said while she glanced at Ye Qian's gloomy face and how the girls also looked sad seeing him.

"But he..."

Grandpa Xiao wanted to say but Granma Yan stopped him and pointed at Ye Qian and the little girls while she continued.

"Look at him and see it for yourself, can our son who loves his daughters so much even leave the girl Yuan and Little Qiqi at such a time, if not for a particular reason which might have made him go against his heart."

"There has to be some reason for him to leave them then for sure, and I know it might have been very hard for him to live all these years without any of us, at least we have each other to take care of ourselves, but his heart might have been in so much turmoil for not even be able to tell us that he was fine or not, can you think it the other way."

"Sniff...sniff"

She said while she sniffed not able to see her son's sadness.

"SIGH"

"Yan'er, I can understand that, but ....."

Grandpa Xiao sighed while he looked at the saddened face of Ye Qian and

"No, no more buts he is really sad I can see how much he loves his child and wife, and I believe the reason for his disappearance must have been something really serious, or he might at least have tried to inform us about it."

Grandma Yan said to Grandpa Xiao and walked to Ye Qian.

"Little Qi, you don't have to feel sad mother knows that you would never have the heart to leave us behind."

She said while she wrapped his hands around his neck and ruffled his hair with a tender smile.

"Yes, mom."

Ye Qian nodded and smiled while he glanced at Grandpa Xiao.

Grandpa Xiao still had a frown on his face but then understanding everything that Grandma Yan said to him, his anger started to die down.

He gave a long sigh and stood up while walking to Ye Qian and others and nodded while saying.

"Child, I can only say this to you, you are a father of two now, so you must not behave like this again, who knows what might the results have been if things had continued the same way if it were before and the future of the girl and your wife might have really been sad."

He glanced at the two little girls sitting on Ye Qian's lap holding his hands and sighed not wanting to speak more than this, he thought Ye Qian would understand what he had meant by his words and wouldn't need more words to understand.

"Yes Dad, I can understand what you mean to say."

Ye Qian nodded and looked at Little Qiqi and the guest room in which Yuan Meng was sleeping soundly.

He sighed and patted the little girl's heads and planted a kiss on their heads.

"That is all that I would say, for now, we can always say things through later."

Noticing that Ye Qian had understood what he had meant to say Grandpa Xiao nodded and walked to the couch and sat there while giving a slight nod at Grandma Yan.

"Don't worry about your father's words, he is a bit angry about your disappearance, but mother is really happy that you are back."

Grandma Yan said with a wide smile and patted his head.
