The Rise of the White Lotus

Chapter 187 Kill him

Chapter 187 Kill him

At the same time in an abandoned desolate factory away from the City. Chris Yu and Morris Liu along with several men from the other three vehicles exited their cars. There were two other mobiles parked outside: one was a black sedan car and the other was a small car truck.

Chris Yu glanced at the ominous, lifeless surroundings before he shook his head and followed the iceman in a suit from behind.

"Now, I feel like a true mob, not a retired agent." Chris Yu murmured sensing the dreaded atmosphere. The place was quiet and spooky at the same time. Even an experienced agent like him felt a cold shudder ran down his spine as they got closer to the old establishment entrance. The rest of their bodyguards surveyed the outside to make sure that no one would interrupt the people inside.

When Morris Liu and Chris Yu entered the obscure establishment, only the faint golden ray of light of the sun through the broken windows above was its source of light. The two immediately spotted several men scattered inside and three figures in the middle.

There, one man was sitting on the dusty floor with blood tainting his spot. He wasn't tied nor was he restrained, but he wasn't attempting to escape and stayed still to where he was.

In front of him, a woman wearing a cute pink dress sat on a wooden chair with her legs crossed. She looked innocent and dolled up as if she was on a date. However, she was truly contradicting the deadly aura with her harmless front.

The other man that was standing behind her never moved from his firm stand. He glanced at Morris Liu and Chris Yu yet, it was as if their existence was insignificant to him as he only looked at them for a second before shifting it back to the man on the floor.

Suddenly, Wren Tanaka's voice broke the pressing silence when Morris Liu and Chris Yu was several steps away from the man on the floor.

"Mr. Liu! Mr. Yu! Welcome to the party!" As usual, he sounded friendly as he approached them. He came out from the shade on the side wearing a trendy business suit and his arms open wide.

"First, I would like to apologize for the delay as a certain someone forgot about the deal. To show my sincerity, we would let you witness Kong Shuren's death!" Unlike his friendly tone, Wren Tanaka's words with his large grin was vicious enough to scare someone.

"Hah, I knew it. This bastard will betray me in the end." Through his bloodied, remaining teeth, Kong Shuren growled in mockery.

Morris Liu emotionlessly glanced down at him. It has been months since he made the deal with Seraphina Yue. Alas, it was only been executed now. Regardless, Morris Liu didn't mind the short wait as he knew it would be worth it if this man died. Moreover, witnessing his death was the most reassuring proof.

"I am never been your ally in the first place." As cold as the winter's harsh breeze, Morris Liu flatly responded.

"Heh, this guy is really troublesome. Well, He won't monopolize this country if he's not-- I'd be disappointed." Seraphina Yue who was beautifully dolled up chimed in as she cheerfully shrugged her shoulders. She raised her gaze to meet the cold pair of eyes of Morris Liu before she smiled.

"Right, Mr. Liu?"

"Huh, you b*tch…" Kong Shuren lowly snarled as he glared daggers at this barbie with a rotten soul. He didn't know how did Morris Liu gathered these people but after seeing Wren Tanaka-- he didn't need to ask.

"What did you say?!" On the other side, Tito took gigantic strides towards Kong Shuren as he cracked his knuckles. It was evident that he was displeased with his addressed towards a woman.

"Chill, cutest. Please don't disgrace your cute little hands with this deadman. They are too pretty for that." Looking surprised, Seraphina Yue raised her hand as she gestured the intimidating Tito to calm down which was clearly effective as Tito ceased on his steps.

"If I were him, I'd say all insults I can before dying." Another man who was languidly sitting on the side near Wren Tanaka snickered.

Chris Yu observed their banter which made his brows twitch a little. Based on his experienced, he knew that these people weren't normal nor are they all moral. Therefore, despite their laidback look, his hostility kept on rising by the second. Furthermore, capturing the evasive Kong Shuren proved their power in the underworld. Alas, the question in his mind was: what crime family are they under to have such confidence?

After all, no matter where he looked at it, it would be impossible for Seraphina Yue to be their true big boss. Ultimately, the Yue International Enterprise was doing good through the years and even after their investigations, the said company was clean from any illegal activities. Hence, it was surprising that she was involved in this… but why?

"Mr. Yu, may I ask? If I give this man to you, will you kill him?" Out of nowhere, Seraphina Yue spoke again as she directly stared at Chris Yu which made him looked back at her unreadable gaze.

"Initially, I will surrender him to the government." He honestly responded. It was part of his deal with Morris Liu that if they find enough evidence and knew his hideout-- they would take him to the police even if the Liu Empire would be put at risk. However, since he became a good friend with Morris Liu, his resolve also changed.

"But now, it is best to silence him completely." Chris Yu added as a glint flashed across his eyes.

Upon hearing his last statement, Seraphina Yue smirked as she was satisfied with his response. "Good. I thought you've grown dumb having a peaceful life—Rex,"

The man standing behind her named Rex wordlessly nodded his head before he strode towards Chris Yu's direction. Handing out a gun, he emotionlessly offered it to him. Chris Yu and Morris Liu glanced down at the handgun on Rex's hand which made them a little confused.

"You see Mr. Liu and Mr. Yu, I admire your resolve because if you surrender this Wiseman to the police, he'll regain his freedom the next hour and... he'll come after you and of course, after me. So, to prove that we're on the same scheme-- isn't it better to be partners in crime as well?" Seraphina Yue watched the tip of her ten fingers touched each other as she uttered her scheming words. She didn't go around in circles as she bluntly revealed that she didn't trust them.

"Tch, even if you kill me, do you think every one of you will get away, huh?!" Kong Shuren dissed as he traveled his taunting gaze to Seraphina Yue then to Morris Liu. By the next second, Kong Shuren was shut after receiving a paramount kick from Morris Liu.

"Hoho! That's unexpected." The man sitting near Wren whistled as he was entertained on the violent response from Morris Liu. After all, none of them expected him to have such aggressive action as he remained mute since earlier.

"Impressive. So, who will kill him? You or Agent Y?" Pleased, Seraphina Yue sweetly smiled as she tilted her head to the side while altering her gaze from Morris Liu to Chris Yu.

"Bas...tard! Do you think you can get away with this if you kill me?! If I died, my men will automatically kill you and your beloved Lexi Yang." Slowly losing his sanity, Kong Shuren threatened as he heartily laughed that resounded in the whole abandoned factory.

His statement made the two freeze as their eyes dilated in shock. "What?"

"Smart move, Kong boy." Unlike Morris Liu and Chris Yu's reaction, Seraphina Yue nodded in amusement. However, the next second, a vicious smirk formed on the side of her lips.

"Kill him."

"Wait--!" For the first time, panicked crept out from Morris Liu's expression. "Don't… kill him just yet."

"Hahahaha!" Upon seeing the huge change on the icy man's tone, Kong Shuren let out another loud laugh until he coughed and spat blood due to the beatings he inflicted earlier.

"Kong Shuren, have you heard about Luciano?" Slowly standing up, Seraphina Yue took unhurried strides towards Kong Shuren. The moment Kong Shuren heard the name Luciano, he looked at her with extreme confusion as his coughs subsided.

She then squatted down with a vicious smirk of a murderer. "Tell Satan, the person who delivered you to hell is Big Daddy." She dawdled and in a fraction of a millisecond, the side of his neck was pierced by a small dagger before his lifeless body collapsed on the floor.

"No need to taint your hands, Bambina." Aside from her team, Chris Yu and Morris Liu didn't know what happened as Chris Yu subconsciously traced where the dagger came from.

There, he saw a petite man whose steps were as light as a feather and his delicate facial features screamed one word: death.

Letting out a heavy sigh, Seraphina Yue shook her head and let things slide as it is. Standing up, she turned to face Morris Liu who was staring at Kong Shuren's soulless body.

"You kill him now and your problems in the future will be reduced… but if you didn't, he'll come after you to the ends of the world. Mr. Liu never hesitates to kill your enemy or else… you won't just die but everyone you care about will perish as well. That is the law you got yourself into— put your life on the line or die with everyone." Giving him a piece of her thoughts, Seraphina Yue then started taking strides towards the exit of the old factory— leaving the two for the cleanup.

Just as she was at the exit, her steps halted and without turning her head, she spoke. "Anyway, congrats on getting your freedom back! Leon will lend you a hand to quench his boredom." With that said note, Seraphina Yue exited the establishment followed by her lackeys.

As they left the two, Wren Tanaka approached her with a frown. "Boss, is it okay to leave those two after knowing your secret? Also, why are you helping them anyway? Aren't you busy?"

"Who knows…"

When her group left, Morris Liu never turned his gaze anywhere else and fixed it to Kong Shuren's dead body.

"Chris, call Ethan now and send all our men to secure the Yang family's safety."

"What? What about you?"

"I killed her once... I will never let her die again because of me— not again." Morris Liu already knew the words Seraphina Yue uttered. He understood that completely. However, he didn't like the gamble if Lexi's life was at stake.

Still, his reluctance to take a risk once failed him, miserably. Therefore, he decided to put his life at stake instead of entangling her again with this mess.
