Sol Vestitor: New Age of God

Chapter 110: Modification

Chapter 110: Modification

Once the plan was settled, Sol and Nerodia need to tackle another problem, to increase the number of Demigod in the mini-world, they need to allow the nymph to increase their population without the outside world's help.

The way to fix this problem was to either allow them to keep the ability to reproduce asexually or somehow create a male version of a nymph.

"I'm quite astonished by your idea to let them keep such an ability, I think it worth experimenting, but in not quite sure if it would succeed," Nerodia told him her thought.

"on creating a Male version of Nymph, I don't think its possible, there was never such a case in the past," she added.

Sol was not deterred by her, he had one ability that she did not know, healing dome was more than it seemed, it would be a great chance for him to experiment with his ability by modifying the Seed's future path.

If Sol could increase the number of Demigod in the mini-world as they expected, then the mini-world had the potential to rival the underworld one day.

Even though the size of the land in the mini-world was not as large as the underworld, it was still growing, as long as Sol and Nerodia invest enough in the mini-world then it's possible to grow bigger.

"There is no use in speculating, let's just do some experiment first, at least we would have some clue what is possible and what is not," He suggested.

"Fine, we have about a hundred seeds, you could use ten for your experiment and I will use another ten, even if we fail it won't hurt too much with that number," She said.

Both of them went to the mini-world directly, Sol was not planning on leaving the mini-world unless there was an emergency.

He had said goodbye to the other girl and told them to get stronger if they miss him, that way they could meet him.

If they advance to be a demigod then they would be able to survive in the mini-world cold temperature.

"I will try my best, I want to spend time with dad since I don't know how long you would be in the underworld once you get out of the mini-world," Nerva told him.

The other girl also has the same thought but only Moon was close enough to be a Demigod, she could be one easily if Nerodia decides to spend some black crystal on her.

In the mini-world, once Sol and Nerodia get there, the seeds nearby start to fly toward them and circle around them like a firefly.

Nerodia waves her hand sending most of them away and only twenty of them there, she chooses the youngest seeds so they wot waste the mature one that was ready to replicate themselves.

There was a chance that the seeds they experimented on would die or become a cripple such as unable to evolve.

Although not every seed would become a Nymph they could also become another type of spirit, they would not naturally become a demigod but they could also strive to be one.

"So how do we affect them? Do we dissect them or something?" Sol asked Nerodia as he has no idea what to do.

"Are you stupid? They don't have a body, what would you dissect?" Nerodia retorted at his question.

"Just yous your conjuring ability to affect them, it should do some change in their constitution," she said.

Understanding that he would need to use his ability to modify them, Sol decided to experiment far away from her so she won't notice him trying his other ability.

"I will check the first Seed, maybe I can get something from it," he said as he went away leaving Nerodia experimenting with her seeds.

Sol really went to the first Seed since he wants to see what difference between it and the other since it already shows the sign of being a nymph.

Even though he was dealing with supernatural things, Sol still using a scientific approach, he observes what was different from one seed and another to find a clue on what he should do and what goal he should strife toward.

The thing Sol found could not really be describable in scientific terms, he just thought it like a spiritual imprint of the first seed was way more developed.

"Should I try to replicate the imprint first?" He thought as he pulled one seed toward himself.

Sol tried to use the sun ice ability to affect the seed as it was the closest element he had with the seed.

He tried his best in replicating the imprint but it turned into some kind of shining ice ball instead of a more mature spirit life form.

He did not know if it would survive or would die once time passes by but it clearly was not what he tried to do so he went for another seed.

This time he used the healing dome ability, he believed that it would be his best chance, although it was a hard process, Sol finally able to replicate the imprint, although it was a pit disfigured and uneven, he was able to create the spiritual imprint.

He spends an hour to repair the imprint into a coherent form, it was about to be complete but the seed suddenly explodes in a flash of light as it died from the process.

It seemed that the seed could only receive limited change and would not be able to be changed too much once it had an imprint.

Sol tried two more times but both of them were still not complete, he was not able to make a perfect imprint but his ability to replicate the imprint improve considerably each time, he believes that his next try would be perfect.

He decides to use them as an experiment to check how much he could modify them once he finishes the imprint, in the end, both of them explode after he tried the limit but he was not discouraged by it.

With the seed's sacrifice, Sol finally has a clear understanding of how much he could modify the imprint.

He called five other seed and made an imprint on each of them, all of them were close enough to the original imprint of the first seed.

Sol did not know what the imprint means so he could only modify different parts of the imprint in each successful full copy of the first seed.

He tried to make the imprint smaller, bigger, longer, reverse, and add some of his own touches, he did not know what it would do so he would need to observe what kind of nymph they would be.

Sol hopes that they could be one within one or two months so he could complete his research and create the exact subspecies of a nymph that they need.

For the last two seeds, he tried to use the knife aura to modify them, to this surprise, both of them merge together into one.

He did not know what did it means and what it would do so he needs to observe the seed as well.

"This is fun, I did not know that experimenting with life is this fun, its like I'm playing God," He mused.

Humans already modify animals and plants even before the upheaval but they thought of it as improving the existing life.

Sol tried to adopt this view but soon he realized, what he did made the seed way different than it was, he was making something random like rolling gacha as he did no really know what he did.

Sol visited Nerodia to see how did she do, he found her having created three successful modification, one of them was like Sol's first try, it had a physical body of sand, like a flying ball of sand.

The second one was purple rather than ice blue like the other seed, he did not see an imprint on it as Nerodia did not go toward that path.

The last one was rather strange, it blood red and look like a liquid but it did not really have a physical form.

It had a spiritual body and not only a ball of light, in sense it had to evolve into a higher lifeform than the seeds.

"Any success?" Sol asked the snake girl who was observing her creation.

"not really, the sand thing is outright fail, it won't be able to reproduce sexually so it would not be able to help the nymph, the purple one was just a new element of seeds, I don't know if it would become what we want in the future but the possibility is low," She told him.

"As for the red one, I don't know what it would be, it's still not complete, maybe we could know more with time," she added.

Sol told her that his results were similar, he would need more time to know if he succeeds or not, he did not tell her that he has seven samples as to not offend her.

"I better keep my mouth shut, she is quite fierce these days," he lamented.
