Paragon of Death

Chapter 156

156 Chapter 155: Guardian spirit host duo

Three months have passed since the allied forces of the continent retreated to their kingdoms and focused on improving their defenses while expecting the arrival of the unknown invaders.

The blood mountain was no different!

With the fourth magic tower constructed successfully Damon could be seen standing in mid-air while his energy surged dangerously. While he let his decay power sip into the crystal core of the magic tower, Elsa cast her array master formation to seal the power of death within the tower!

The duo standing in mid-air while allowing their strength out without restraint made them look like an invincible couple. Citizens of the blood mountain watched the two while whispering things and spreading rumors.

“They are talking about us again” Elsa chuckled cutely and Damon sighed bitterly.

“Once we are done setting this up, and I find out they said something crazy, I may just kill them all” Damon said with frosty eyes but Elsa’s laugh made him calm down almost instantly.

“If you kill everyone for every little thing, who will you rule over when you create an empire?” Elsa laughed and Damon could only sigh.

As soon as the duo finished an invisible barrier surged around the entire blood mountain, revealing darkish substances within it, which soon blended with the world and vanished from everyone’s eyes.

................

.....

Thud!

Thud!

Damon marched to the courtroom while Elsa cashed after him. Even though he didn’t seem to move fast, each stride covered a long distance. Something that a champion realm master cannot do and that’s why Elsa found it hard to keep up with him

Bang!

The doors swung open and only then was Damon’s figure fully visible. In the hall with the other hosts and the blood clan’s true bloods, everyone just waited patiently for his arrival.

“I apologize for the delay... let’s begin” Damon said casually as he sat on this bone throne with a strange look in his eyes.

After he was done saying this, Micheal stepped out and moved towards the center of the room before falling on one knee.

“As suspected the passageway to the inheritance has opened up at the western part of the kingdom leading towards the endless sea, just like it did four hundred years ago. This is an opportunity for the remaining hosts to awaken their true strength but I advise his majesty to accompany them on this journey to avoid, complications” Michael said while on his knees.

Hearing this, everyone present frowned. Everyone present was capable of taking on spirit realm experts. If four of them should move together without Damon, who dares block their way?

“Is there something we know nothing of? Someone out there capable of killing the founding members of this empire?” Gin couldn’t help but ask as his eyes twitched with excitement.

“Outside the fact that the sons of the four kings you antagonized may seek you all out, I heard rumors of two people swaggering across the continent without care. It is said that the duo wields the power of destruction and storm! They are tyrants who claim they will take the lives of the other hosts and steal their inheritance... I’m sure you are aware of these rumors” Michael said with his face lowered.

Buzzz!

The entire room turned tense as fierce killing intentions flared up from Damon, Gin, and Cyrus. The trio has heard the rumors too but they have been playing dumb all this while.

From what they heard people say, these two were born outside the continental and belonged to the Draconian race. Upgraded versions of the lizardmen tribe that once existed in this continent. It is said that they are direct descendants of dragons and are far more capable than any other race that has ever existed.

The duo is known as the invincible duo who spread chaos and destruction wherever they go.

“If these two truly have the intention of killing the hosts and stealing their inheritance then I must be there...” Damon said with a cruel smile as his killing intentions filled the room. His eyes revealed immense lights as he leaned back on his cheer and let his breathing normalize.

He felt anxious yet excited at once by the rumors he has heard so far. It is said that the other continents surrounding the central continent are controlled by the old gods and the people there serve them and that’s why it’s nearly impossible for the world to choose its hosts from those places. Yet, these two were chosen by the world meaning they are the best possible choice but what keeps Damon on his toes is the fact that this powerful duo was able to live in those places peacefully, yet the central continent where the influence of the old gods is weaker is not safe for them.

Doesn’t that mean those two must have made some back door deals with the old gods to let them live?

Did they agree to kill off the other hosts in exchange for their lives or did they just agree to share the resources of this world with the old gods?

“Bastards... regardless of what it is, you will not come out of this unscathed” Damon said calmly but his eyes were as sharp as daggers.

Regardless of who it is, anyone who threatens the life of the handful of people he considers family then they shouldn’t blame him for acting ruthlessly when the time comes.

..............

Somewhere around the western part of the continent, two men dressed in red and silver robes stood gallantly even when surrounded by numerous soldiers of different races.

Their actions in the central continent have not gone unnoticed and soon even the kingdoms began mobilizing forces to deal with these two. The fact that they are present now, is more than enough reason for anyone to believe that Damon wasn’t lying.

There are actual races out there and they are all heading toward the central continent to lay claims to it.

If they can’t get rid of these two, then how can they possibly hope to deal with the main invaders?

“Raizen and Fei, if you all decide to submit and admit your mistakes, I assure you, the gyro Kingdom would be more than willing to take you in and shield you from the world and even the death mage” Gerald Gyro said with a charming smile on his face as his long orange hair fluttered in the wind. He wore simple red robes with the Gyro Kingdom royal family crest embedded at the chest area of his attire. Meanwhile, Kaido stood beside him with Diana and Crystal. All four of them surrounded the two strange-looking beings without fear while secretly gathering their energy in case a fight breaks out.

“Protect us? Nothing and no one in this continent can harm us.. so why do we need protection?” Fei of the fire dragon clan responded with a raised eyebrow.

As a draconian, he was over seventy feet tall with a pair of red horns with red scales visible in some parts of his face and probably other parts of his skin but they were covered by his robes.

“Gerald, crown prince of Gyro and descendant of the Son of heaven... I have heard stories of you... there are rumors that you already surpass your father in strength. Is that true? If yes, why hesitate when you can take the kingdom for yourself?” Raizen Stormborn asked with an amused look on his face. His eyes seemed to carry strange lights which sent chills down the spine of everyone present.

“There is a time for everything... it’s not time for me to take the throne so there is no need to rush things. By the way, what is yours will find you eventually. Only someone stealing what doesn’t belong to him, takes everything as a do or die affair” Gerald remained unmoved by the words of the enemy.

He could sense the fighting intentions suppressed within the duo. He knew they had made up their mind to fight here but he wasn’t bothered one bit. Even if his opponent is the son of heaven, his father, he still won’t blink.

In his opinion, he is a living example of how far a normal human can go without the backing of guardian spirits, cosmic spirits, or old gods. In his opinion, he is the absolute!

“Not false. Not false. I like you so I will ask you one more question. What do you consider yours?” Raizen stormborn asked with a raised eyebrow and the entire battlefield turned silent.

Gerald remained calm with his emotionless face as his eyebrows raised a bit and he gently took a bold step forward, followed by another and another, until he was directly in front of the enemy with a cruel smile on his face.

“This world is mine... whoever dares to stop me from taking it, be it the old gods or the Guardian spirits, I will destroy,” Gerald said with a confident smile on his face.
