Paragon of Death

Chapter 120

120 Chapter 119: Strange abilities of a death mage!

“What is this?” Cassius hissed as he struggled. His eyes filled with hatred but within all that hatred and anger was a hint of fear!

For the world to pull him closer to Damon like that is something that can only be done in one’s anomaly! Since Damon arrived here he was yet to release his anomaly so how the hell did he do that?

Also, the moment he felt Damon’s grip, it wasn’t Damon consuming his strength, instead, it was weakening him. Just by making contact with Damon, he was slowly aging!

How is that possible, vampires like him should be immortal!

He is a first blood for god’s sake!

“I know you have questions so I will answer them for you...” Damon could sense the questions in his heart easily.

He didn’t find this reaction surprising at all.

“Did I release my anomaly? Do I need to? Death exists everywhere. When there is conflict, death appears, standing by and waiting to receive the soul of the loser. Even now it hovers above us and watches this battle take place... with death present in this world why would I need to change it? Death is intertwined with everything that exists. Nothing lasts forever.... I really do not need to release an anomaly to perform such little tricks” Damon said calmly.

“As for the second matter, you are a fool to think it is impossible. Nothing is truly immortal. All it takes is a casual touch from me to steal the so called endless time you believe you have to live... When going against mere mortals, you are allowed to be cocky but when you meet death face to face, I suggest you fall on your knees and beg for mercy!” Damon sneered as he casually tossed Cassius away like a piece of rag.

.....

Bang!

Cassius hit the ground and rolled a couple of times. He began coughing loudly while spitting out blood simultaneously. Never in his long life did he think he would find himself acting like a mere mortal who got choked! At the hands of this death mage, he can be killed like a normal mortal!

This realization made his body tremble with fear as the fear in his eyes deepened considerably.

Kaido sat behind on the bone horse, gazing at his master’s back with pride. Everyone was aware of the existence of the first bloods and none of them dared to underestimate them. Yet, his master who has a lower cultivation base seemed to be toying with a first blood as if he is nothing.

How could he not feel proud?

Damon stood with his hands placed behind him while watching Cassius slowly rise to his feet with wary eyes. He had to confess, this child has far surpassed his expectations. His strength is boundless and this terrified him.

If he does not kill Damon here and lets him live for another five years then the entire blood clan won’t stand a chance against him.

“When pushed to the war, a person’s instincts kick in and he is left with two choices.... Submit or fight back... You have the eye of a fighter... that’s why you won’t live to see tomorrow” Damon said casually as he began taking bold strides forward.

Since the blood clan made an enemy out of him five years ago, almost causing him to lose his life, he had no reason to show mercy!

“Damon Ross... I will risk my life against you” Cassius growled.

“You will try!” Damon said coldly as he yanked his palms open and darkish green flaming skulls appeared!

Purgatory flames!

Swoosh!

The fiery skulls raced forward but Cassius snorted in response as he flicked his fingers and a red barrier exploded from his body, taking the hit from the green skills!

Boom!

Boom!

Cassius watched with a frown on his face as the blood barrier trembled when attacked by a mere champion realm expert!

Impudent!

Cassius was enraged but this was not the time for him to act on his rage. For the first time in a while, he suddenly felt the threat of death from a child who had barely lived for twenty years!

“Cries reach the heavens!” Damon’s voice boomed like lightning as strange cries began ringing sending chills down the spine of Cassius.

It wasn’t just in his ears but in his mind! He could hear the distinct voices and cries of every life he had taken. He could hear their last attempts to plead with him before he murdered them. After living for centuries now, Cassius had a lot of blood on his hands making this even more unbearable.

He held his ears and fell to his knees. Blood poured out of his eyes and ears, leaving the first blood in a terrible condition!

Against this child, he could barely resist and this was because Damon’s attacks weren’t just physical, they were spiritual as well. While struggling to hold in the pain, Cassius could only cover his ears and watch as Damon approached so casually!

“I will be taking what’s left of your time and sending you off to the underworld... I’m sure death has a special place for you there” Damon said casually as he gripped Cassius’s face and the strange process began again.

In just a few seconds the once youthful and vibrant first blood member began gaining wrinkles while his hair slowly turned grey!

This was not a fight! This was a one-sided beatdown!

“Hmph! And who said you can take him?”

Boom!

Damon’s eyes narrowed as looked in the direction but it was too late! A fierce red aura struck him, sending him flying back!

Bleegh!

Damon spat out a mouthful of blood but he didn’t even fall. He only staggered back and forth for a short time while gazing at Cassius’ fleeing figure! One thing was for sure whoever helped Cassius must be a first blood but a much stronger one.

His eyes narrowed as he considered something and frowned. Damon could only stand there as his bone armor crumbled, revealing a bloody hole on his chest, caused by the attack but even then he looked totally calm.

If he hadn’t acquired the immortal body, such a bit was enough to end his life twice over!
