Chapter 33: Negotiations

Early the next day, Yuga woke up and administered the elixir he had crafted yesterday to the Pokémon eggs. He had prepared a specific place for soaking the eggs with the elixir, showing just how seriously he took this matter.

These eggs were the future residents of Yuga Ecopark, and he couldn't afford to be careless.

Afterward, Yuga began the morning training session with his six Pokémon, followed by breakfast, and then he opened his shop for business as usual.

Once the shop was open, Yuga resumed his usual habit of daydreaming behind the cash register, while his Pokémon rested beneath the large tree inside the shop.

Feeling bored, Yuga realized that he shouldn't continue being ignorant now that he was the owner of a Day Care. He decided to study and learn more about Pokémon care to improve his knowledge in the field.

Since the shop was quiet during business hours, he figured he might as well read some books to educate himself and recharge.

During shop hours, Yuga didn't want to leave, so he decided to look online for suitable books about Pokémon care.

There was a computer on the shop cash register, which Yuga had bought himself for convenience. It wasn't a creation of the system but rather his own purchase.

There were many books available online on this subject, and Yuga ordered a few beginner-friendly ones.

Around noon, Kurosaki called Yuga to inform him that he had already found a construction team. In the afternoon, he would bring the team leader to Yuga house to assess the yard and discuss specific details about building the Ecopark.

Yuga was surprised at how efficient his uncle was. Within a day, he had already found a construction team.

So Yuga waited at home for his uncle and the construction team leader to arrive. However, before they came, a customer entered the shop.

This customer happened to be the first customer since Yuga reopened the Day Care, so he offered him a discount.

The customer name was Arata Niida, a young man in his early twenties, who identified himself as a Trainer.

He mentioned that he was from the Johto area and was traveling in Hoenn Region. However, he had already decided to return soon and wanted to buy a Pokémon egg as a gift for his younger brother.

Through their conversation, Yuga learned that Arata younger brother aspired to become a Trainer like his older brother but was still too young and didn't have a Pokémon yet.

In reality, countless children like Arata brother dreamed of becoming Trainers. However, while the initial step into the Trainer profession might be easy, achieving success and recognition was a challenging endeavor.

The world was constantly seeing new Trainers emerge, but only a few became well-known. Most of them remained unknown to the masses.

After Yuga recommendation, Arata bought a Shroomish egg and left the Day Care.

Not long after seeing off the customer, Yuga spotted his uncle arriving with a middle-aged man at the entrance of the Day Care.

Through Kurosaki introduction, Yuga learned that the man name was Daichi Kurozumi, a veteran in the construction industry with ample experience.

In their brief interaction, Yuga could tell that Kurozumi was a friendly person who didn't underestimate him due to his young age. During the assessment of Yuga yard, he was thorough and meticulous.

With Kurosaki accompanying them, Yuga and Kurozumi had a pleasant discussion. The progress was smooth, and they discussed various aspects of constructing the Ecopark, including specific details.

During the discussion, Yuga mentioned that he hoped they wouldn't damage the grassy area in his yard during the construction process. Kurozumi assured him that he had noted that request.

The grassy area in Yuga yard had been intentionally planted by his parents and was well-maintained. Yuga thought it would be great to preserve this area as it was when the Ecopark was completed.

Kurozumi understood his concern and assured him that it wouldn't be a problem for them to maintain the grassy patch during construction.

Additionally, Yuga wanted to divide the interior of the Ecopark into several separate sections for individual construction.

Kurozumi expressed confusion about this request.

In general, most ecoparks are designed as a unified system to maintain the overall environment. It's not easy to separate different sections since they rely on the same system for operation. However, Yuga couldn't tell Kurozumi that he was advised to do this by 1314528, and with 1314520 presence, he didn't need to worry about the internal system of the Ecopark.

Yuga Ecopark, aside from the main area, would also have several secondary sections that needed separate management from the main area. These separations were necessary.

However, Yuga had previously mentioned to Kurozumi that his Ecopark wouldn't require an internal system, so Kurozumi didn't press further into the reasons for Yuga decision. After all, it was the customer request, and any dissatisfaction in the future wouldn't be blamed on them.

Afterward, Yuga and Kurozumi discussed the construction cost, external materials, and the overall appearance of the Ecopark. Once everything was settled, Kurozumi informed Yuga that their construction team would bring materials and start construction early the next morning.

Since Yuga wanted the Ecopark to be completed as soon as possible, he had no objections.

Due to the extensive discussions and yard assessment, the day had grown late by the time they finished. Kurozumi didn't linger and left promptly.

During the afternoon, there were no customers, so Yuga decided to close the shop for the day. He hung the "Closed" sign at the entrance and concluded today business.

In truth, with Kurozumi visit today, the shop couldn't really be considered open. No customers came, and even the shop owner himself didn't have time to manage the shop. It was hard to call it business as usual.

After closing the shop, it was still daylight, so Yuga decided to engage in some training with his Pokémon.

When his Pokémon weren't training, they either napped under the large tree in the shop or played on the spacious grassy area in the backyard. It was easy for Yuga to locate them.

Among his Pokémon, Absol and Murkrow were the most dedicated to training. They executed Yuga training instructions meticulously.

Vulpix and Chimecho, due to their docile personalities, weren't extremely enthusiastic about training, but they still managed to complete their exercises effectively.

Floette was naturally lazy from a young age, so whenever no one was watching, it would find ways to slack off.

As for Houndour, it was somewhat special. When Yuga first encountered it, he noticed its timid nature, which was entirely different from the fierce temperament of other Houndour.

Houndour excelled in physical and skill training, but it tended to falter during battle training, which gave Yuga a headache.

However, these things took time to work on; rushing wouldn't help.
