I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 396: Oh, Young Love

Chapter 396: Oh, Young Love

His eyes glowed with a bright blue color. Electricity ran throughout his body as his breathing got deeper. "Angin! You were never my best friend, you traitor!"

"Me? Your friend?" Angin chuckled, his eyes glowing red slowly. "Who said I was ever your friend?"

With a burst of magic, Kaminari raised his sword and vanished. Angin saw this, gasping when his attack didn't hit anything in its path.

"Impossible," Angin muttered under his breath. "Where could he be"

"Right behind you," Kaminari whispered. Angin then felt a sting behind him. A sword had passed through his stomach. "Rage of the True Master of Skies."

"The Crystal Maiden," Angin suddenly said before Kaminari could active his attack. "Malice wants her. There must be something with that Maiden that Malice is so obsessed with. Find her and protect her."

"Why are you suddenly telling me this?" Kaminari asked. "You just said that I wasn't your best friend. That you didn't consider me one."

"That was the corruption talking," Angin chuckled. He held the sword that passed through his body and looked behind him. "Listen, Kaminari. The time I played the flute, I only intended for it for myself to hear. Even Sayu didn't hear it."

"N-No," Kaminari tried to pull his sword back, but Angin stopped him by gripping on the sword tightly. "The corruption just lost control for one second, but it doesn't mean that it's still not here. Sayu and I both of us, we trust in you. We're always here for you, K."

"Angin, please," Kaminari begged, trying to pull his sword out.

"And the child," Angin panted. His skin turned dark and veins popped out of his skin. "It was yours. I never really touched Sayu. The corruption just made me think I did, but I could never."

Kaminari's eyes widened, "So, you mean Sayu had only been with me?"

"It was only you," Angin took a deep breath and pulled himself out of the sword. He spat blood after walking a few steps forward. When Kaminari thought he was done, Angin ran straight back to the sword, piercing himself through the bent blade. "It was always you, K."

With his bloodied hands, Angin placed both of them in his friend's shoulders. "Receive my powers, K. Be one with it as if you were one with me. I might not be here anymore, but my soul will always have your back."

"Angin, we can fix this," Kaminari cried. "Please, I know we can."

"Kill me," Angin whispered. "Kill me now."

From where they were, Lance and Elliot took deep gasps after seeing the two. Kaminari was crying while red and blue aura twirled around them. Angin had long since placed his head on his friend's shoulder, smirking while succumbing to his death.

"That darn Malice," Elliot clenched his fists. He watched yet another set of Malice's victims. The three friends who had always had each other's back. She made them betray each other just so she could achieve her goal.

"We will encounter more people like them," Lance said. "That is why we need to hurry this up before a lot more will perish the same way they did."

"I know," Elliot returned his sword to its scabbard. "I will kill that woman myself."

While Lance and Elliot watched the light burst from Angin and latch itself into Kaminari, Ed was being slammed into a wall.

"Mother"

Ed couldn't finish his words when the hand that slammed him formed a fist and punched him deeper into the concrete ground. He was now facing a larger version of the Earth Master's puppet. This one had more muscle into it, and had an unmatched magic reserve.

The fist was slowly raised off the boy, Ed couldn't help but cough out blood from the damage he just taken. The puppet came from nowhere. He was just clearing the golems when a hand reached out from the ground and pull his leg. The hand then slammed him into the ground a couple of times before it walked out of the ground completely.

"Not again," Ed groaned when he saw the fist land back to him. He tried to reach his sword, knowing he won't have enough time when a ball of fire shot from nowhere.

It stopped the hand from slamming itself into Ed, and not long after, more balls of fire rained down upon the puppet. Connor hovered with his staff while shooting the flames from his sword.

"Are you okay?" Connor asked his friend.

"Do I look okay?" Ed groaned. He pushed himself off of the ground and shook his head to clear the dust in his hair. "That puppet is much more dangerous than the one earlier."

"I know," Connor nodded in agreement. "My balls of fire should've at least detached one if its arms, but its still there. It has high magic resistance."

"That's because its affinity is earth," Ed snickered. "You've forgotten how affinities work, haven't you?"

"Of course, not!" Connor said defensively. "I was just used to overpower my opponent, that's all."

"Ah," Ed shook his head, trying to hold his laughter.

The puppet moved again and was sprinting towards them. When the boys saw the puppet approach them, they leaped off the ground and into one of the buildings nearby.

"You can't damage it, so let me deal the damage," Ed said. He looked around and realized that Connor was alone, the people he was with were nowhere in sight. "Where are they?"

"Somewhere safe," Connor said and leaped off the building. He used his staff to fly around the puppet to try and confuse it. "I put them in a flame shield that can resist basic golems. Don't worry about it!"

He shot his flames to the puppet, making it focus on him while Ed charge his weapon. The latter took a deep breath and focused the aura of the curse and into his blade, "Corrosive Strike!"

"I love this!" Florencia yelled as Christina and her rode the Deep Sea Wanderer. "Oh, my lord, Christina. How come you didn't say anything about this?"

"Because it's a curse," Christina said. "Flo, aren't you even a bit scared?"

"Uh, no," Florencia snorted. "And for what I've said earlier, I'm sorry. Maybe I was just too insensitive."

"It is I that's should be sorry," Christina said. "I know you and Viper like each other. And for me, as your junior, to intervene and try to take him would be awful. I know why you felt that way."

"Aw," Florencia chuckled and hugged her friend. "Don't think like that. I was the one who's insensitive. I should have discussed this with you properly."

Christina smiled and offered her pinky, "Swear to never do this again?"

Florencia grinned and nodded, "I swear. Speaking of Vi, I know why you like him."

Christina gulped as she watched the naught in her friend's eyes. "W-What?"

"He has a big feet!" Florencia laughed and made Christina laugh with her.

Meanwhile, riding Hope was Viper. He was looking at the two below them and narrowed his eyes, "Why do I feel like they're talking about me?"

Hope just smirked and thought in his head, "Oh, young love."
