Back For My Daughter

Chapter 265 - Yuan Meng's Predicament

In the kitchen, the two little girls were having their breakfast as their Grandma fed them carefully.

"Here, eat these as well."

Ye Qian placed the 4 eggs which he had peeled carefully on their plates and cut them into slices for them to eat them with ease.

Seeing him behave as this Grandma Yan chuckled.

"Little Qi, you have changed so much, you even will do chores like housewives now?"

Grandma Yan was saying the truth and indeed Ye Qian did all the things which a wife would do with great care.

Of course, it was all because Ye Qian wanted all of them to be healthy.

Little Qiqi was just about 15 kg's and looked so frail and the same was for Yuan Meng.

Their health was in an alarming condition and Ye Qian didn't know what would have happened if he was not here and that Gu in Yuan Meng's head had continued to such her life force away.

A chill went down Ye Qian's spine as he thought as his eyes turned cold.

There was no way he would let the one who had placed the Gu in her body.

Ye Qian knew that the Gu was likely to be only in dormant condition but who knew what would have happened if the person wanted to harm Yuan Meng.

It would not even need for him to think no more than a few seconds and Yuan Meng would only be left as bones.

The temperature in the morning was already cold enough, but with Ye Qian's anger growing in his heart the temperature in the room decreased again by a few degrees.

"Qian'er."

While his heart was filled with anger without noticing the changes caused due to him, Ye Qian heard a call.

Ye Qian shook his head and breathed out lightly.

He glanced at Yuan Meng who was standing by the door of the kitchen with her eyes wide open and a trace of fear in them.

Ye Qian nodded at her and smiled wryly.

He was losing control over his emotions too frequently ever since he had arrived here.

Ye Qian looked around and noticed that although the temperature in the kitchen had dropped by a few degrees the two little girls and Grandma Yan had no problem with it or more likely they didn't seem to have noticed the change at all.

Ye Qian carefully looked at them and smiled wryly while shaking his head.

Now he understood that the small sparrow on the little girl's shoulder was breathing out tiny fire breaths which surrounded the three thus not making them feel cold.

'I have to control or this might get out of my hand.'

Ye Qian thought as he stood up and picked up a small bowl of cereals and placed it right in front of Little Qiqi.

"Huh?"

Little Qiqi and Little Jia were confused and stared at him.

Ye Qian only smiled and turned to Yuan Meng who seemed to have heaved a sigh of relief just then.

He could understand that she was the only one who knew all about him in the whole world.

But she also didn't want Grandma Yan and Grandpa Xiao to think that Ye Qian was not willing, to tell the truth to them and think that it was because he didn't feel close to them.

In this situation, Yuan Meng was the only one who couldn't stand on one's side, since Ye Qian's parents also didn't know a complete truth and nor could he say it out to them.

It was indeed a dilemma.

And the one holding them all together was Yuan Meng.

Yuan Meng had just walked out of the room when she felt the temperature in the house was suddenly dropping at an alarming rate, it didn't take her much time to understand what was wrong and she rushed into the kitchen.

She had felt that same thing yesterday and could clearly recognise what it was.

When she was at the door, she saw Ye Qian had anger in his eyes while there was this different aura surrounding him.

She had seen the same thing yesterday as well.

And didn't dare to wait for any more time to call out for him.

Grandma Yan and the two little girls were also surprised to hear the sudden loud call by her and turned towards her.

Yuan Meng could only smile wryly at them but she heaved a sigh of relief after seeing Ye Qian's anger had dissipated and he was back to normal.

Seeing him walk towards her with an affectionate smile, Yuan Meng's heard felt at ease as an elegant smile appeared on her lips.

"Good morning."

The two greeted each other at the same time.

"Haha."

The two chuckled while shaking their heads at each other and nodded.

"Hehehe."

Beside them, the three also giggled and then continued to have their breakfast.

They didn't need to speak much to know what the other was thinking.

It was like there was an understanding within them and they had their hearts connected.

Ye Qian walked back to the table and pulled a chair.

Yuan Meng who was following behind him sat on the chair as Ye Qian pushed it ahead.

"Thank you."

Yuan Meng smiled and then patted the two little girl's heads.

Meanwhile, a few footsteps were heard.

"TAP TAP TAP TAP"

"Good morning, Aunt, Qiqi and Jia."

It was Yu Lan and her friends.

Yu Lan greeted the three and then nodded at Ye Qian and Yuan Meng.

"Big Brother, Big Sister."

"Good Morning Aunt Lan'er and Aunt Lin."

The two little girls also greeted them with their wide smiles.

But then turned to Ye Qian with confusion.

"Papa why did you get more cereals for Qiqi and Big Sister, we still have so much breakfast to eat."

Little Qiqi asked while pointing to the still half-full plate of Congee, fruits pieces, milk, eggs and cereals.

If any other person were to look at the breakfast on their plates they would sure be shocked with their mouths wide open.
